Sometimes, a loyal friend comes in the form of a bound copy of narrative. Other times, it comes with company. We dedicate this issue to such company: libraries. Diving into the world of books, we bring to you libraries across the world, each with their own story—a library that arrives on donkeys, one that you would stumble upon on the street, another nestling comfortably on the ground floor of an old colonial building, and one, enduring in a tower. No matter how differently intriguing all these libraries might be, we try to bring to you the essence that all of them have in common: the sense of time gone by between the pages, and stories that they all are waiting to tell.
